FULL LENGTH TOUR DESCRIPTION
Leaving by luxury coach from the pier, you will travel the short distance to the Crown Casino where you will board the famous fleet of historical trams that have become the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. These glossy, burgundy restaurants on wheels are the first travelling tramcar restaurants in the world, and ensure a delightful and innovative approach to dining. As the trams cruise the scenic streets of Melbourne, you will enjoy a cosy atmosphere, delicious champagne breakfast, friendly service, where the décor is as inviting as the colonial period these trams reflect. Travelling on the tramcar is not only a culinary delight, but also a trip back in time to glimpse a bit of Victoria's history. All modern conveniences and comforts are provided including carpet underfoot, plush velvet seats, fresh flowers and beautiful brass fittings. The trams are air-conditioned and piped music creates a pleasant ambience, making it easy to see why the Colonial Tramcar is a four-time winner of the coveted National Tourism Award.

Following your 60-minute ride, you will disembark the Tramcar and transfer to the nearby Melbourne Observation Deck, located on the 55th floor of the Rialto Tower, the tallest office building in the Southern Hemisphere. This superb location offers 360-degree views (weather permitting) at a height of 830 feet, making it an ideal place to discover 'the world's most liveable city.' There are powerful in-house binoculars available and on a clear day, views can extend beyond Westgate Bridge and as far away as the Dandenong Ranges to the east and Port Phillip Bay to the south. You will have plenty of time here to take photographs, enjoy a sight and sound show about Melbourne, and listen as your guide points out the highlights of the city.

At the end of the visit, you will return to street level and re-join your coach for the journey back to the pier, stopping along the way at Southbank where you will join your guide for a short walk along the Yarra River, taking in the summer sunshine and stunning views of the city.
