DETAILS

FULL LENGTH TOUR DESCRIPTION
Depart the pier with your guide and travel through this beautiful city situated alongside the curving banks of the Brisbane River. You will see sights such as the Parliament House, the Treasury Building, City Hall and the Old Customs House. Your route also takes you past the splendid riverside setting of the impressive South Bank Parklands and Cultural Centre. This is adjacent to the location where the 1988 World Expo was held. Today, the center houses the State's Art Gallery, Performing Arts Complex, a Museum and library, bearing witness to Brisbane's vibrant cultural community.

Continuing on, you will proceed to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary for a fun and educational visit. This is the world's first and largest koala sanctuary, and you will have the opportunity to get close to over 130 free roaming koalas in a beautiful, natural setting. While the sanctuary is home to kangaroos, wallabies, sheep dogs and other unusual animals such as the Emu, Tasmanian Devil, Wombat, Dingo and Kookaburra, the endearing Koalas remain the main attraction.

Upon arrival you will be met by your own private guide and will enjoy a 2 hour ‘Behind the Scenes’ tour of this fascinating sanctuary. You will visit the animal hospital and participate in a tree planting ceremony, as well as enjoying your own sheep shearing demonstration. You will also have the opportunity to have a souvenir photo taken cuddling one of the Sanctuary’s adorable Koalas (included).

Enjoy some free time to explore the sanctuary at your leisure before re-boarding your ship for the return journey back to your ship.
