FULL LENGTH TOUR DESCRIPTION
DAY 1
Departing the port of Xingang to Beijing City by coach takes 2.5 to 3 hours drive. Upon arrival in Beijing, proceed to lunch, after which you will visit Tiananmen Square. Here, on any given day, thousands of visitors gather to walk, take photos or enjoy the view of the monuments which surround the square. A photo of taken at Gate of Heavenly Peace will be arranged for you.

Then, you’ll walk to the extraordinary Forbidden City. Centre of the Chinese world for nearly 500 years, the imperial palace remains the most complete and best preserved collection of ancient buildings in China.  Called the “Forbidden City” for the exclusive nature of the emperors who built and inhabited it, the palace is a vast complex of halls, pavilions, courtyards and walls.

In the evening, you will taste the typical Peking duck dinner at a renowned restaurant. Beijing duck is the local flavor of Beijing. The traditional method of preparing Beijing Duck has a history of over a hundred years and boasts a great reputation to this day. If you are in the mood, you can visit the local bar street in Sanlitun. Sanlitun is the earliest bar area in Beijing. The first bar here was founded 15 years ago. For foreigners, Sanlitun Bar Street is most famous as well. It is said that 40% of Beijing bars are founded in the area three kilometers far from Sanlitun. That means that there are about 200 bars situated here.

Stay overnight at Peninsula Hotel or similar.

DAY 2
After breakfast and check out at hotel. You will first visit to Great
Wall at Mutianyu. The Wall has been built up in myth and legend, but despite the many inaccuracies written, it remains one of the great man-made wonders of the world.  The Great Wall rides some of the highest peaks of the Yan Mountains affording some stunning views of the surrounding countryside.  Originally built to guard strategic passes to the plains on which Beijing is located, the magnificent vistas and solitary setting here evoke the grandeur and dazzling achievement of 5,000 years of Chinese civilization. Lunch will be served at Xiao Long Pu Restaurant.

Afterwards, continue visit to the Ming Tombs, lying 50 kilometres to the north of Beijing. Maintaining an imperial tradition that originated in the Zhou Dynasty (1066 B.C. – 221 B.C.), the Ming emperors selected the location and design of their tombs during their reign. Of the 16 Ming emperors, 13 are buried in this valley just north of Beijing. Afterwards, visit the “Spirit Way”, a 6.4 kilometer long path leading to the Ming Tombs.

Then, you will be transferred to Tianjin by expressway and return to the ship or Beijing Int’l airport.
