DETAILS

FULL LENGTH TOUR DESCRIPTION
Today your tour of Guayaquil begins on the banks of the immense River Guayas, full of commercial shipping to and from the Pacific Ocean and home to the new Malecón 2000 promenade, noted for its excellent shops, bars, restaurants and modern architecture. Within the complex your guide will show you around some of the major attractions.

Afterwards, make your way towards the city centre where you will visit the Parque Seminario and appreciate the city’s cathedral. You will also have the chance to wander around the Square’s ornamental gardens, home to land iguanas measuring up to one metre in length.

You will also visit the excellent Anthropological Museum, home to an interesting collection of pre-Columbian items: this part of Ecuador is where the oldest relics of civilization have been found anywhere in the Americas.

Finally, make your way back to the port, stopping on the way in a craft store to shop for souvenirs.
