FULL LENGTH TOUR DESCRIPTION
Depart the quayside and travel in an easterly direction along the coastal road via the Wilderness lakes area to Knysna. This well-known holiday resort is situated on the shore of the Knysna Lagoon, the mouth of which is guarded by two promontories known as the "Knysna Heads".

At Knysna you’ll board a ferry, which will take you across the lagoon to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. On arrival at the reserve, join a trailer ride to the top of the mountain from where you may enjoy the magnificent views. Those who wish may join the guided nature walk back to the tavern - alternatively, you may return by trailer and relax a bit - before a sumptuous buffet lunch will be served.

After you arrive back on the mainland by ferry, you have some time to stroll around the many craft shops of Knysna. Board your coach and drive back to Mossel Bay, returning to the quayside via a short orientation tour of Mossel Bay town, site of the first landfall made by the Portuguese explorer, Bartholomew Dias in 1488.
 
SHORT LENGTH TOUR DESCRIPTION
Travel to the Wilderness Lakes area to Knysna, a well-known holiday resort situated on the shore of the Knysna Lagoon. A ferry ride across the lagoon brings you to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, where you can take in the beautiful views and an optional nature walk. A sumptuous buffet lunch is followed by some free time in Knysna before heading back to your ship.

00:00 – 01:20 Depart quayside and drive to Knysna
01:20 – 01:30 Board the ferry for the transfer to the Featherbed Nature Reserve
01:30 – 02:00 Ferry transfer / ‘lagoon cruising’ to the Reserve
02:00 – 02:10 Arrive at the Featherbed Nature Reserve
02:10 – 02:45 Embark on a unimog and trailer ride to viewpoints of the Knysna Heads
02:45 – 03:45 Choice to return to restaurant by an optional downhill walk (2.2 km) or by unimog and trailer
03:45 – 05:00 Buffet Lunch at the Food Forest Restaurant
05:00 – 05:30 Return to mainland by ferry
05:30 – 06:30 Arrive back on mainland, walk around in Knysna and see craft shops
06:30 – 07:50 Drive back to Mossel Bay along the N2 highway
07:50 – 08:15 After a short orientation tour of Mossel Bay, arrive back at the quayside

- Please wear flat, comfortable walking shoes, a hat and sun block
- A warm jacket is recommended for the ferry trip
- In case a guest/s are allergic to fish, please advise – meat or a vegetarian meal can be served
- Guests in wheelchairs can manage this tour with assistance from a ship’s escort or spouse
- This tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties
